Similar to how coffee improves your morning, Downtown Credo Coffee is improving your local community. The coffeehouse’s philosophy is to make the world a better place by engaging with the community. Payment is donation based with a menu of suggested prices. All profits go to a good cause through projects like pond cleanups in Parramore. Sip a cup of coffee, tap into free wifi and make a difference.

The store is located at 706 West Smith Street in College Park and it’s open 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays and closed Sunday.

Bark Tower Gardens’ Dog Day of Summer
Bok Tower Gardens is going to the dogs for a good cause during the first annual Bark Tower Gardens’ Dog Day of Summer. Leashed and friendly dogs will be invited to visit to help support the Humane Society of Polk County, which will receive 50 percent of the event proceeds.

Tips on health, safety, dog grooming and adoption as well as some special friends who need a good home will be available from 9 a.m. to noon. “Ask a Vet” and “Ask a Trainer” experts will be on hand to answer questions and doggie boutique items will be for sale. Water bowls and kiddie pools will be located throughout the Gardens. Dog admission, including a doggie gift bag, is $5 per dog. Regular human admission rates apply.

Pups on the Patio
Hit the town with your dog on the first Saturday of each month for Pups on the Patio, a block party in Tavares Waterfront District. This Saturday, enjoy great food, live music, a dog misting and wading pool tent, horse and carriage rides for dogs and their owners, and the Children’s Splash park will be open to cool off.

Bark for Life

Every Wednesday, several of Central Florida’s most popular food trucks park and serve the masses at the outdoor concert field located directly behind Firestone Live in downtown Orlando. In addition to food trucks, the event features adult beverages, original artwork and live music.
