Smithsonian Magazine’s Museum Day is back for 2011. On Saturday, September 24th, you can get free admission to hundreds of museums across the U.S. To get in free, you’ll need to fill out a form online and print out the admission card.

Per the fine print, the card must be presented for admission, and it’s good for free general admission for two people. Limit one card per household. Some of the participating museums on the list are always free, so make sure to use your pass somewhere that typically charges for admission.

On October 15th, LEGOLAND Florida is scheduled to open its doors. Florida teachers can get a free annual pass, valued at $129, to Legoland Florida. To receive the pass, teachers must register online, print out a page with a discount code and take it to Legoland Florida’s ticket window, along with their most recent pay stub, Florida photo ID and teaching certificate.

Legoland’s possible field trips and educational programs are supposed to begin in November and include building machines with gears, pulleys, levers and motors to creating a theme park ride for the study of speed and direction to using “Adventure-bots” with light and sound sensors.

LEGOLAND Florida is geared specifically towards youngsters ages two through 12. With more than 50 family rides, “hands-on” attractions and shows, LEGOLAND Florida provides education, adventure and fun in this second park of its kind in the United States.
