The City of Orlando is racking up the kudos lately. We already know it’s a great place to live—it looks like everyone else thinks this is great place to visit too.

Travelocity named Orlando the #1 place to spend New Year’s Eve. Orlando beat out places like New York City and Las Vegas.

CNN highlighted Orlando as one of the top places to visit in 2012. Instead of standing in lines at the theme parks, they suggest checking out the inexpensive side—Orlando’s lakes, museums and scenic neighborhoods.
