When school’s out, there’s nothing better than a morning at the movies to keep the kids entertained. Regal Entertainment Group has scheduled nine weeks of family-friendly movies at select theaters. During Summer Movie Express, selected G- or PG-rated movies start at 10 a.m. every Tuesday and Wednesday morning. The starting dates are either June 4 or June 11 depending on the theater closest to you. Tickets are just $1.
This year, the flicks include: The Three Stooges, Ice Age 4: Continental Drift, Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days, Parental Guidance, Mr. Poppers’ Penguins,Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked, Monte Carlo, Rio, Coraline, ParaNorman,Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax, Big Miracle, Yogi Bear, Journey 2: The Mysterious Island,Racing Stripes, Happy Feet Too, African Cats and Chimpanzee.
First-come, first-served seating is limited to theater’s capacity. Tickets are available only at the theater box office on the day of the show.

When the weather is nice and the stars are out, there is nothing more romantic than snuggling up with your date at an outdoor movie. Date Night at Leu Gardens screens a film in its beautiful garden setting the first Friday of every month. The feature on June 7 is ‘Vertigo.’ Bring a picnic, a bottle of wine, chairs and blanket. The cost is $5 for adults, $2 for kids and Leu Members are free. Check the weather before you go. The gardens open at 6 p.m. and the movie starts at 8:30 p.m.
