Free hands-on projects for youngsters are offered occasionally at participating Home Depot stores.
At the next event, kids build a bulletin board, while learning about tool safety.
The workshops are August 4, 9 a.m. to noon, and other first Saturdays of the month.
The activities are designed for youngsters ages 5 to 12.
