Free summer moviesEscape the heat this summer and head to the movies for free family-friendly films. Cobb Theaters is offering a free Summer Movie Series for kids June 11 through August 1.  New movies are shown every week on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at 10 a.m. Doors open at 9:30 a.m. Movies featured include Hotel Transylvania, The Pirates! Bands of Misfits, Ice Age: Continental Drift, Rio, Dr. Suess’ The Lorax, Rise of the Guardians, How to Train Your Dragon and Open Season.

Bret MichaelsBret Michaels, lead singer of Poison and 80’s heartthrob, hits the stage this Saturday for a free performance in Orlando. Sing along to hits like “Every Rose has its Thorn” and “Nothin’ But a Good Time” at the Free Downtown Concert Series with Bret Michaels. Join 98.9 WMMO on Saturday, May 18 in front of the Courthouse on Orange Avenue and Livingston Street. The fun starts at 4 p.m. with vendors, food and plenty to drink.

Enzian Theater brings the movies outdoors for free screenings of fun flicks at the Wednesday Night Pitcher Show. On select Wednesday nights, enjoy a free outdoor movie on the lawn starting at 8 p.m., grab a beer and some snacks during Eden Bar’s happy hour from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. and play Jell-o shot movie trivia. Answer correctly and they’ll give you a complimentary shot.
