Summer is the time for kids to get up, get out and grow. But for some kids, exposure to activities that stimulate the body and mind ends with the school year. On April 30, the YMCA is holding its annual Healthy Kids Day, a national initiative to improve the health and well-being of children. More than 1,300 YMCAs across the country are taking part in Healthy Kids Day, each with their own free community events that are open to all kids and families.
Activities will vary by location, but will include fun, active play and educational opportunities. Click here for participating locations.
