If you’re looking a free outdoor activity that the whole family can enjoy, consider checking out the Florida Citrus Parade on Dec. 30. The Florida Citrus Parade has grown to become one of the largest sports affiliated parades in the nation, an annual tradition that occurs each year between the Russell Athletic Bowl and Capital One Bowl games.
High-school and college bands will be part of the festivities, and people on the floats toss beads and candy for the kids. You can find a spot on the curb to sit, or bring a folding chair.
The parade starts at 10 a.m. on Orange Avenue at Robinson Street downtown. It runs south on Orange Avenue, east on Anderson Street and north on Rosalind Avenue, ending at Robinson Street.
