This is a guest post by Kristen Manieri, the founder of GreatDatesOrlando.com, a website that’s been giving date night ideas to Orlando couples since 2007.Â
Sure you can fork over a ton of cash at any number of swanky Orlando restaurants this Valentine’s Day, or you can opt to spend very little thanks to a handful of amorous activities designed to warm your heart rather than break your bank.
Admission to Maitland Art Center’s Culture Pop! Wild at Heart event is just $5 on Friday, February 14, when the idyllic gardens will be filled with live jazz, art installations, food truck offerings and cash bar from 7 to 11pm. Admission even includes one complimentary drink.
You’ll pay no admission whatsoever to attend the Romance in the Park and The Food Truck Bazaar when Lake Concord Park in Casselberry will feature gourmet meals on wheels along with romantic love songs sung live by the multi-award winning Janine Klein. This event is held on February 14, 6-9 p.m.
Couples with a love for all things retro will love the Warner Bros. Valentine’s Day Date Night, presented at the Orange County History Center on Saturday, February 15, 7 pm to 8:30 pm. Admission is just $15 per person and includes the screening of several film shorts (think Porky Pig and Bugs Bunny) with popcorn, wine, champagne, and chocolate available for purchase. Call (407) 836-7010 to register.
Finally, tickets to the legendary Leu Gardens Valentine’s Stroll (Friday February 14, 7-10pm) are $20/person in advance, but couples can splurge on the tickets and then pack their own picnic baskets filled with provisions from their own kitchens. Bring a blanket, some wine and enjoy the live music playing throughout this 50-acre botanical oasis.
