Folk concerts at Winter Park Library
The Central Florida Folk group hosts monthly concerts on the last Sunday of the month at the Winter Park Library, plus additional concerts some months.
Concerts are at 2 p.m., and the suggested donation is $10 for library members and $15 for others.
Listeners are invited to participate in a jam session after the show.
Here is the upcoming schedule:
- August 30: Shana Smith, with opening act Sharon Osuna.
- September 27: Crowes Pasture, with opening act Ken Holt & The Promise.
- October 18: Bob Patterson plus Jerry Mincey with Tony Macalusco
- November 15: Dave Rudolf
- December 13: Hat Trick
- January 31, 2027: Rupert Wates
- February 28: Garce Morrison and Marc Douglas Berardo
- March 21: David Singley
- April 25: Bing Futch
- December 12, 2027: Danny Schmidt
More concerts are likely to be added to the 2027 schedule.
The Winter Park Library also hosts two other regular events of interest to music lovers and players:
- Free monthly Acoustic Fingerstyle Guitar sessions, for listeners and players from tweens to adults. These sessions are 6 to 8 p.m. the third Wednesday of the month.
- Winter Park Ukulele Society meetups for players and listeners. The ukulele group meets 10 a.m. to noon the second (usually) Saturday of the month.
These are among many free and cheap events at the Winter Park Library. Music lovers might also enjoy the songwriting workshops, open mic nights or storytelling events. You can find all the library events here.
