Free movie premiere: ‘Sonic the Hedgehog 3″

Readers of South Florida on the Cheap have a chance to attend a free advance screening of the new film “Sonic the Hedgehog 3,” which debuts in theaters December 20, 2024.

The free advance screenings will be Tuesday, December 17, in Oviedo.

Here is the synopsis of the new movie:

Sonic the Hedgehog returns to the big screen this holiday season in his most thrilling adventure yet. Sonic, Knuckles, and Tails reunite against a powerful new adversary, Shadow, a mysterious villain with powers unlike anything they have faced before. With their abilities outmatched in every way, Team Sonic must seek out an unlikely alliance in hopes of stopping Shadow and protecting the planet.

The cast of the animated film includes Jim Carrey, Ben Schwartz, James Marsden, Tika Sumpter, Idris Elba, Keanu Reeves, Krysten Ritter, Lee Majdoub, Natasha Rothwell, Adam Pally, Shemar Moore, Colleen O’Shaughnessey, Alyla Browne and James Wolk.

Tuesday, December 17, at 5 p.m. at Regal Oviedo Mall Stadium 22 in Oviedo. Download passes here (you will need to create a Go FOBO account if you don’t have one already).

The number of passes are limited. Getting a pass doesn’t guarantee seating.

It’s smart to arrive early. Sneak previews are often overbooked to ensure a full house, so you must arrive early and prepared to wait in line. Seating is not guaranteed, just because you have a pass in hand. (By the way, movie studios also reserve seats for the press and VIPs. That’s why you see all of those seats with tape across them at every screening.)
