Ace Hardware gives away one million American flags on May 23

One of the best ways to celebrate Memorial Day (and show your American pride) is to wave a U.S. flag or display one in your front yard.

And Ace Hardware is honoring American veterans by sponsoring its annual One Million Flag Giveaway for one day only.

On May 23, 2026, Ace Hardware is giving away a FREE 8″ x 12″ American flag at participating locations. No purchase necessary.

For each flag given to customers, a second flag will be donated to local VFW posts to be placed on veterans’ graves in tribute.

The giveaway is available while supplies last. Get there early for the best chance at getting one of the complimentary flags. No coupon, app or loyalty membership required.

Limit one flag per customer. 

Most locations open at 8 a.m. on Saturdays. However, hours vary by location.
