TAX-FREE SHOPPING IN ORLANDO
You’ll get a bit of a break when stocking up for the new school year by shopping during the designated tax-free shopping days in Orlando. For the month of August in 2025, you can purchase all of your back-to-school supplies without paying the tacked-on state fees.
In Florida, state sales tax is 6 percent or $6 for every $100 spent. Usually, in cities or counties with additional local sales tax, that tax is also waived. If you spend $250 on eligible items, you’ll save at least $15 in sales taxes.
Individual qualifying items must be within designated price limits. If the price of an item is higher than the qualifying limit, the tax exemption does not apply.
