Free Latin Jazz and Art Festival in Casselberry

You have an opportunity to hear one of Florida's top musicians as jazz flautist Nestor Torres headlines the free Latin Jazz & Art Festival in Casselberry. Also featured are singer Fabiola Mendez and drummer Dimas Sanchez and the Afro Latin Jazz Project.

The festival will be 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday, September 12, at Lake Concord Park. 

Torres, a Puerto Rican flautist, has released 19 albums. He won a Grammy in 2001 for "This Side of Paradise."

Méndez is an Emmy-nominated composer known for her unique blend of genres, including folk, jazz, and Afro-Caribbean influences. She made musical history in 2018 as the first student to graduate from the Berklee College of Music with the Puerto Rican cuatro, a 10-string instrument, as her principal instrument.

Lake Concord Park is at 95 Triplet Lake Drive in Casselberry.

Parking is available around City Hall and surrounding businesses.
