Closed to swimming starting February 1, Blue Springs is a perfect place to see manatees during the winter and early spring. Cost: $6 per vehicle.
Orlando Wetlands
A man-made wetland designed to provide advanced treatment for reclaimed water from the City of Orlando and other local cities. The facility is 1650 acres in size and located in Christmas, FL. You can visit the Wetlands to enjoy primitive and passive activities, including photography, wildlife viewing, hiking, biking (non-motorized), horseback riding, and guided tours.

Leu Gardens
This beautiful botanical garden is a great spot to explore and relax. Free on the first Monday of the month.
Central Florida Zoo
Tickets can be pricey, but check for discounts and special promotions. During spring break your ticket can get you more time since the zoo is staying open an extra hour (closing at 5:00 p.m.) from March 15 through 29, 2025.
Weekdays through March 21 Sunrail is providing a free shuttle service to the zoo when you take the train to Sanford station. Show your Sunrail ticket at the gate and get 20% off general admission to the zoo.
Gatorland’s Florida Resident Special
Save half-off off Single Day Admissions through March 31, 2025. Adults: $17.50 plus tax; Children (3 to 12 years) $12.50 plus tax; Seniors (60 years and up) $17.50 plus tax.

- Wekiwa Springs State Park: While there’s a small entrance fee ($6 per vehicle), you can swim in the crystal-clear spring, hike the trails, or enjoy a relaxing picnic.
