Learn about how the City of Orlando’s Water Reclamation Division cares for our water and the environment at one of the most unique outdoor recreation experiences in Florida.
The Orlando Wetlands is a man-made wetland designed to provide advanced treatment for reclaimed water from the City of Orlando and other local cities. The park is popular with hikers, photographers, and trail bikers due to its beautiful location and varied wildlife. Parking and entrance are free, and the park offers many free activities and tours as well.
Free Tram Tours
Groups of fewer than 10 people catch a free tram tour on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. (Sunday tours are September through April only.) Weekend tours last 45 to 60 minutes. These tram tours do not take reservations and the last tram departs at 2:15 p.m. While the tram tour is free, donations are accepted.
Reserved Group Tours
Reserved tram tours of the Orlando Wetlands take you through the journey of a water droplet running through the water reclamation system. With countless species and sub-habitats to see, every tour is slightly different.
Orlando Wetlands welcomes individuals, families, groups, schools, and university classes to reserve a group tour. These tours last around 2 hours. For 10 to 24 people on Tuesdays through Thursdays, the reserved tram tour is free. They also offer paid tours for larger groups. Read more about the reserved tram tour options here.
